Rule PvP with a Warlock PvP Guide
If you’re playing a Warlock in WoW PvP, you’re a target. Many PvP players hate Warlocks, while even more fear them. Your ability to curse other characters to death makes you a vicious opponent, and a powerful one. Despite your powers, you aren’t indestructible, and many of your opponents would like nothing better than to put you down. Life is very interesting for Warlocks in PvP combat.
A Warlock in PvP is actually a simple class to play. The basic strategy is to hit an opposing character with tons of DoT (Damage Over Time) spells, then cast Fear on them repeatedly. Do this enough times and the opponent dies.
Being a Warlock, you can also suck mana right out of other characters for your own use. You can even regenerate your own health. And if you want, you can make life particularly miserable for other spell casters by siccing your Felhunter on them. In short, a well trained Warlock can defeat any other character class.
A poorly trained Warlock, on the other hand, isn’t going to last very long in PvP. With no combat ability outside their casting, Warlocks are at the mercy of any character that can resist their magic, or somehow drain the Warlock’s mana before the Warlock kills them. A skilled Warlock player knows the skills necessary to deal with any opponent capable of resisting their magic. This is where a quality Warlock PvP Guide comes into the picture.
Warlock PvP Guides are incredibly important. As a Warlock, you will find it almost impossible to defeat some classes without a well-honed strategy. You can either spend your time in battle (probably getting your butt kicked) trying to learn which strategies and tactics work against which class, or you can invest in a Guide book.
For a more concrete example of what I mean, let’s talk about Priests. Priests can drain a Warlock’s mana. And without mana to cast spells, a Warlock is helpless. On top of that, Priests can dispel your curses. This makes taking out a Priest a challenge for a Warlock. But there are ways that a Warlock can counter a Priest. You can put in the time and effort to discover those ways yourself, or you can find them in the pages of a good Warlock PvP Guide.
The top Guides contain predefined strategies for combat against all possible opponents. With these strategies in place, you have a solid base for adaptation and improvisation in the heat of battle.
This is why owning a quality Warlock PvP Guide is so important. In a quality Guide, you’ll learn which strategies to use against which opponents. You’ll learn what and when to cast against each class, how they are likely to attack you, and how to respond to their attacks. You’ll learn what to do against each class in solo duels, and what to do as part of a 2v2, 3v3, or 5v5 team.
Even if you do decide to learn the ins and outs of Warlock PvP combat yourself, you’ll find that a quality PvP Guide will contain strategies and tactics that are not obvious to newer players. It will teach you the key things you need to know, saving you a big block of time you would otherwise have to spend dying in battle before you become skilled at PvP combat.
