As the Priminister dined with fellow cabinet members after his pivotal speech today in Manchester not even the crystal glassware could reflect Gordon’s enthusiasm and promise for the future of this country. He spoke out at the labour conference today and said that world had “spun on its axis” in the last week and a “new settlement” was needed to avoid a repetition.

In his speech today to the Labour supporters, Mr Brown said his “unwavering focus” was on taking the country though these challenging times. “In truth we havn’t seen anything this big since the industrial revolution”.

Brown took to the stage in the attempt to persuade the party that he should remain the party leader and the Priminister.

The Priminister’s wife, Sarah, made a surprise appearance to welcome her husband onto the stage to the labour party faithful. She went on to explain how she has had a cracking time meeting all sorts of different people of her husband’s time in power.
