Jamie Oliver slags off Brit culture
Jamie Oliver’s recent outburst to a Paris magazine leads me to think that he belives that I am a beer swilling, TV addict who is clueless about food. Jamie Oliver stunned journalists and the middle class society of Britain by saying that 80% of Brits do not sit around the table just to enjoy a good meal, instead all the want to do is drink beer and watch TV! Jamie’s rant was particularly focused on some of the larger cities in the UK such as London and those up North. ” We may be materially well-off but we are culinary tramps”.
The rather irritating mockney chef is world famous for transforming school dinners and writing about a million cook books on anything from bbq recipes to roasting a pigeon. He was quite liked by a few people when he first appeared on TV but now his annoying manner has gone too far. Who does he think he is? If anything Britain is far from the worst country to have drinking problems. Luxembourg and Belgium consume the most wine in one year and America drink the most beer! So get your facts right Jamie before you go slagging people off! Go and write another barbecue recipe and shut up!

He should really not worry about what other people do with their lives. If drinking beer and watching TV makes somebody happy then who really cares?

I stumbled upon your site accidentally but I have to admit that I love it. Especially the phrase - “My grapes are bursting with info and flavour for you to devour!” ;)) Sounds nice…

Jamie’s a bit harsh isn’t he. Going over to France to bitch about us drinking beer and watching TV.
