Emma Watson, famous for her role as Hermione in the Harry Potter movies, has got rid of her gorgeous long locks of curly hair. Emma has made this dramatic change in a bit to be considered for the lead role in the upcoming movie “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” which is due out in 2011.

The movie is a remake of the 2009 Swedish movie adapted from the now deceased Stieg Larsson’s first book of his Millennium trilogy. The original film has been released in the U.S earlier this year in March. With the remaining two movies in the trilogy to be released later in the year.

Emma is currently been screen tested for the part of Lisbeth Salander, a computer hacker, and if successful would be staring alongside Daniel Craig in the movie. Emma will be up against other well known actresses Ellen Page, Natalie Portman and Carey Mulligan.

This could be a huge role for actress Emma Watson. Whatever happens we hope that Emma will be able to grow her lovely hair back after the movie and we can all enjoy her beautiful curls again.
