Do You Want To Be Anxiety Free

A new day breaks and we are again faced with being Alone, Confused and Scared. This is how so many of us meet the morning sun that signals the start of a new day. We know its only our anxiety pushing to the surface once again making it hard to live and function like the rest of mankind. Anxiety striking again isn’t it, this persistent stress and anxiety over the smallest of issues, no one who we can talk to who would understand what we’re going through. Some one must know a way on “how to be anxiety free”.

There was no understanding within me as to what was happening or that there was a multitude of people who were suffering just like me. The anxiety attacks would come from nowhere, or so I believed at the time. There is nowhere you can run and hide from your anxiety.

What causes this, enough is enough, was always in my thoughts. My mind always asking, what is happening to me?. Your concern grows about, will there be another attack in a public space, can I avade going out. However, you can’t even hide at home as an attack will come as you rest, while you sleep. Can anyone imagine what its like to wake up in the middle of an attack, when the brain has had free range to think what ever it likes. If you don’t have anxiety, you cannot understand this point.

But from the worlds point of view, anxiety is one of those ’sweep it under the carpet’, “embarrassment-type issues, or I think I might-be-going-crazy” feelings. All you find is this silent invisible barrier of denial, it’s a bit embarrassing or lets just sweep it under the carpet and hope it goes away attitude. Heaven forbid someone else might admit to being a fellow “Sufferer”.

Let’s Look At A Cure To Anxiety?

Today, I’m quite different. I KNOW that I suffer from Anxiety Disorder. I KNOW the condition I battle with through my daily life. The best part of all is that a cure is available that I can implement. I KNOW that this will be a condition I will most likely have for the REST OF MY LIFE. All it takes is me taking the required actions to start the journey.

Accepting your disorder as a medical condition is the first step to recovery. Accepting it has symptoms is the second step and the third step is knowing there is a cure for anxiety in most cases. Most attacks only last anywhere from a few minutes up to no longer than a half an hour.

The key to controlling an anxiety attack is in fact control. When an attack is triggered, control your position, either lie down or at least sit down, so you cannot fall if your balance is disturbed. Now try to relax, close your eyes to cut out external influences that may be causing the anxiety.

We need to reduce the impact of the anxiety attack and the quickest way we can do this is to take control of our brain and stop the signals it is sending. Relax your mussels starting from the toes and working up the body. Feel the mussels relaxing and see them so in your mind. Shake the stiffness out.

The battle of the mind is the key to overcoming anxiety. Fight each feeling of fear, each tightening of your chest with counter images of good things you have done or are looking forward too. Keep yourself as busy as you can and let the thoughts of fear of an oncoming attack melt away. Practice this visualization so it becomes easy to project and you will see your control grow with each attack as each attack reduces in intensity and duration.

Never feel you have to deal with it on your own. Seek professional advise for assistance and support. There is no guilt from seeking help in fact it can help the curing process. You shouldn’t feel the least bit of embarrassment or guilt in needing their help.

If you suffer from Anxiety, I commend you for making a choice to learn more about what it is. You need to know what to expect, the steps available in achieving a cure and the control you will need to instill in your mind. To control anxiety you must be in control of your mind. Achieve the first steps in this area by;

• Searching out your Trigger Points and what it is about them that affects you

• Understanding and directing your Self Talk

• Building support with loved ones and friends

• Facing each attack knowing it will not harm you

• Forcing uncomfortable situations on yourself

• Facing your fears and seeing them for what they aren’t

Self-belief in your self and accepting you have a disorder that has a cure will set you on the right path. You deserve the right to be happy and comfortable with your life!. Break the task into small achievements and celebrate each milestone as you reach it.
